Raspberry “Nice” Cream

Bonjour!

How does vegan ice cream sound to you?

An ice-cream like texture can be achieved by using frozen bananas. This “ice cream” also known as “nice” cream is loved by many people all over the world. It is so special because, even though, there is no milk or refined sugar you feel like you are eating a real dessert and not as if you are on a diet.

Indulgence with 0 % regrets EVER

It is also known as the 1 ingredient ice cream. All you need is a few bananas!

There are many different variation, some people add cocao, almond milk, peanut butter, frozen berries and … and… and

For now I decided to go with a very simple variation, using only 2 ingredients.

I cut the bananas into slices and put them in the freezer overnight

The next morning I prepared a cup of frozen raspberries

Mix the bananas until the texture is smooth and ice-cream like. Depending on the mixer it can be harder to reach this texture. If this is your case, just use your knife to mix every couple of seconds to ease the blockage.

When the bananas are mixed, it is possible for it to have “melted” too much. Putting it back for an hour or two will fix that in no time.

Take the “nice” cream out of the freezer and serve it with some fresh fruits

This dessert is a perfect dairy free/vegan variation of ice cream

Bon Appetit!
